Williams Township approves hires, GovUnity website contract, emergency canal repair resolution and accepts 2024 audit

Administration and finance: The board approved an updated Administrative Assistant profile, accepted the 2024 audit, and approved a website contract with GovUnity for a $6,100 one-time site update and Tier Two maintenance at $600 per year to meet anticipated 2026 ADA accessibility requirements.
Infrastructure and property: The board approved Resolution 2025-14, a determination of emergency repair for the Canal Road head wall to protect public health, safety and welfare; Public Works indicated preference to wait until a culvert project is finished before performing a one-time repair. The board also confirmed that township records show no acceptance of a prior dedication for the ultimate right-of-way at 140 Cedarville Road, and authorized Manager Melody Ernst to notify PennDOT so the developer may proceed with a Highway Occupancy Permit.
Public comment: Resident Stephen Morris of 30 Jeannette Street raised concerns about a March 26 Zoning Hearing Board determination; the board received his comment during the public comment period.
