Redevelopment authority approves tree removal, permit refunds and bond release; unsafe-building review set for April 15

A resident told the board that the locust tree growing in the public easement at a Tanager Street property had been evaluated by an arborist and that the property owners would cover removal and replanting costs. "They're gonna take it down on their dime," the resident said. The authority voted to grant the removal request.
The board approved a refund for building permit number 2657 (applicant identified in the record as Windham Nation). Officials also voted to release a performance bond for a Lumen's Logistics development once a maintenance bond is in place; staff said they had reviewed the site and recommended the change to a maintenance bond after inspection.
On an unsafe-building matter at 300 West Old Bridge Road, staff reported that the property owner had submitted paperwork for a one-lot subdivision to the planning commission. The authority set the matter over to its April 15 meeting pending planning commission action.
The meeting concluded after the board approved routine claims and adjourned by voice vote.
