Select Board approves cemetery alternates, fire-alarm monitoring and routine abatements

The Chichester Select Board on June 2 handled a set of routine administrative items, appointing cemetery-trustee alternates, awarding a vendor contract for fire-alarm monitoring, and approving several tax abatements and reimbursements.
The board approved the appointment of two cemetery-trustee alternates, Peter Hammond and Gloria Beachy (Motion 2). The motion, moved by Jeremy and seconded by Carrianne, passed unanimously on roll call.
The board also approved a fire-alarm monitoring contract with BK Systems that carries a $4,000 installation cost and $2,580 per year in monitoring fees (Motion 3). That motion was moved by Matt, seconded by Jeremy, and passed on a roll-call vote with all members voting Aye.
In a series of clerical and tax-related actions the board approved two clerical abatements (Map 4 Lot 156-125 for $230 and Map 4 Lot 156-55 for $618.53), a veteran tax credit, a tax exemption under RSA 72:39, an additional veteran credit, and two individual reimbursements (a Heritage Committee reimbursement for $186.36 and a registration overpayment refund for $1,586). All of those motions passed unanimously.
The board did not debate new policy changes during these votes; most items were recorded as routine approvals in the meeting minutes.
