The Oneida County Public Works Committee approved several routine and staffing items during its June 25 meeting, including the agenda, prior minutes, vendor vouchers, a modification to the 2027 LTE request and a line-item transfer.
Motions approved at the meeting included:
- Approve agenda: Motion by Bob Almekinder and Billy Fried; motion carried.
- Approve minutes (June 11, 2026): Motion by Dan Hess and Bob Almekinder; motion carried.
- Approve vendor vouchers: Motion by Ted Cushing and Dan Hess; motion carried.
- Approve 2027 LTE staffing request and wages: Ben Rich explained that reducing the request from eight to seven LTEs and increasing wage by a grade level would yield about $500 in savings; motion by Dan Hess and Bob Almekinder to approve as presented; motion carried.
- Approve overlap training for Financial Specialist/Finance Technician: Rich proposed two weeks of overlap training at an estimated $3,500 (staff savings from State wage-share expected to offset the cost). Motion by Billy Fried and Bob Almekinder to approve two weeks of overlap training; motion carried with Fried recorded as opposed.
- Approve line item transfer: Motion by Ted Cushing and Dan Hess to move $10,000 to a revenue account; motion carried.
