Dodge County approves Rawhide Creek Watershed Agreement to pursue flood‑mitigation funding

The Dodge County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the Rawhide Creek Watershed Agreement on Dec. 23, adopting the Rawhide Creek NRCS Watershed Project Plan environmental assessment developed after the 2019 flooding.
Emergency Manager Tom Smith told the Board the assessment identifies alternatives to mitigate future flooding in the watershed. He said having this agreement in place makes Dodge County eligible to apply for funding for subsequent phases of the plan.
The Board authorized Chairman Missel and County Clerk Gilfry to sign the agreement. No public testimony for or against the request was recorded in the public hearing.
