Public Works Committee approves $19,800 shop safety repairs after eyewash failure

Committee member Dan Hess suggested using pex rather than copper to reduce cost and the motion included the question of whether pex could be used without advertising because this was treated as an emergency.
Motion by Chair Ted Cushing, second by Dan Hess to accept the Tweet Garrot quote in the amount of $19,800; the motion carried. Committee members also approved routine procedural items including the meeting agenda, May 14 minutes and vendor vouchers earlier in the session.
