The Louisa-Muscatine Community School District board accepted several resignations and approved at least one hire during the June 15 meeting.
Resignations accepted included Ron Wagner (Varsity Assistant Football Coach), Jamie Pugh (Instructional Coach), Linda Bayliss (JH/HS School Counselor), and Eva Sorrowfree (Head JH Girls Basketball Coach). Scott Wilson recognized Wagner and Pugh for their service. The motion to accept the resignations was made by Scott Wilson, seconded by Bryce Hoben, and recorded as unanimously approved.
The board approved the hire of Megan VandeZandschulp as school nurse with a $50,000 salary (BA, starting at step 9/7). The motion to approve hires was made by Bryce Hoben and seconded by Jeff Riggan; vote: unanimously approved.
The minutes list current openings including: JH Head Football Coach, Assistant Varsity Football Coach, Dance Team Coach, HS Girls Head Basketball Coach, JH/HS Special Education Teacher (Strat I, Strat II preferred—with signing bonus), JH/HS School Counselor, Secondary School Social Worker, and Industrial Technology Teacher & Shop Club Advisor.
