At its June 16 meeting, the Town of Newry Select Board signed a Conditional Agreement for Locke Summit Estates and appointed Brian Moore as a Planning Board alternate for a one‑year term.
Selectperson Mandy Berry moved to sign the Conditional Agreement for Locke Summit Estates; Selectman David Bartlett seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Later in the agenda Berry moved to approve Brian Moore as a Planning Board alternate for one year; Bartlett seconded and the board voted unanimously to appoint Moore.
The board also voted unanimously to send the Planning Board Rules of Procedure to the town attorney for legal review. No formal public hearings were recorded on these items in the minutes.
These actions move the Locke Summit Estates proposal further into the local review process pending any conditions in the Conditional Agreement and possible attorney feedback on the Planning Board rules.
