Separately, the board considered a trade-name application for Juniman Eye Care. Dr. Troy Juniman joined remotely and said he was aware of another nearby practice with a similar family name (Phillipsburg) but did not expect public confusion because of geographic separation and the different markets. "I don't believe it would cause any confusion," Juniman said. The board moved and approved the trade-name application.
On reciprocity and licensure, the board reviewed numerous applicants. Several reciprocity applications were tabled pending receipt of contracts or lists of contracted nursing-home facilities (for applicants working through a company). For example, the board tabled Dr. Pham’s reciprocity application until the required contract was submitted; the board indicated it would consider a short Zoom review once complete. Other applicants, including Dr. Lillian McIntyre and Dr. Jeffrey Strand, were approved for licensure by reciprocity after motions and votes.
The board also discussed administrative processes for handling incomplete applications, agreeing to use targeted follow-up (including possibly short, ad hoc meetings) to avoid delaying a candidate’s process for months. Several specific motions approving licenses were recorded and the executive officer was directed to follow up with applicants on missing paperwork.
