Sunrise Solar offers nonbinding terms to reserve interconnection for Queenstown project

David Castle, representing Sunrise Solar, told the commissioners the company has acquired land and is partnering with Delmarva Power to bring solar projects to Eastern Shore communities. Sunrise Solar provided a Terms & Conditions draft described in the minutes as nonbinding; that agreement would let the company reserve an interconnection spot while it investigates whether a project would be viable for Queenstown. Commissioners asked that the Town Attorney and the Finance Committee review the document and provide comments before any commitment is made.
Town Manager Amy Moore thanked Jeannie Richardson of The Digital Architects (TDA) for assistance related to a separate cybersecurity grant; Moore stated the grant review was pending FEMA approval. The Sunrise Solar item was listed as a nonbinding presentation and will return for further review if legal or financial questions remain.
