Sanbornton Recreation sets dates for basketball jamboree, Gunstock lessons and Easter Egg Hunt relocation

SANBORNTON, N.H. — The Sanbornton Recreation Commission confirmed several upcoming events and noted a change of location for the town’s Easter Egg Hunt.
Amanda Pelissier, the recreation coordinator, reported that the town will host a 3/4 grade basketball jamboree Saturday, Feb. 7 at Winnisquam Middle School with the first game starting at 9:00 a.m. and the last game at 4:00 p.m. Pelissier also reported that lessons for the Gunstock outreach program begin Friday, Feb. 6 and that letters notifying families have been sent.
Staff recapped holiday programs, saying the Kids Workshop and annual Holiday Party were successful; the minutes record that Santa did not attend to light the Christmas tree because of unforeseen, last-minute circumstances.
On other business, Selectman Ralph Carter suggested moving the Easter Egg Hunt from the Town Park to the field by the Town Offices and Library because electrical work is being installed and the road may be dug up; Pelissier will relocate the event. The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 4.
