Sanbornton recreation staff to calculate day-camp payroll costs; commission asks for five years of Summer Camp trip costs

SANBORNTON, N.H. — Recreation staff will return to the commission with payroll and cost details for upcoming day camps and Summer Camp field trips.
Amanda Pelissier, the recreation coordinator, and Mindy DeFosse, the recreation assistant coordinator, presented sign-up numbers for the Jan. 30 day camp and the February vacation camp. Commissioners Kerri Federico and Chair Jax Riendeau asked Pelissier to calculate the payroll costs required to run the camps at the minimum enrollment and to bring that analysis to the Feb. 10 meeting.
DeFosse asked about the weather-cancellation protocol; Riendeau suggested calling the Sanbornton Highway Department to check road conditions and sending families an email by a set time if weather is questionable. The commission also recorded that there will be no day camp in March due to district teachers' need for the gym.
On Summer Camp, Pelissier outlined planned field trips. Commissioners said they want five years of data showing revenue, transportation costs and admission costs before final approval of the proposed trips. Pelissier will present those figures at the next meeting.
