Village Engineer Daniel Collins told council on June 10 that the Milford Drive Reconstruction Project is progressing ahead of its original October 30, 2026 completion date and is now expected to finish in September. Collins credited contractor progress and said residents have been patient and supportive.
Collins said the pavement-marking program is out to bid, with six contractors having received bid packets and bids due July 1; he estimated the markings project at about $23,000 and said the work should be completed before the start of school and take roughly four to five days. Councilmembers asked for clear communication to residents; Councilmember Zach Hebebrand praised the engineer and service department for timely resident updates.
Collins and Service Department Superintendent Jason Walters also reported recent joint inspections of Ledge Road, identifying pavement problems around catch basins; Walters estimated repairs at approximately $50,000. Council discussed Houghton Road problem areas and noted those may be included in next year’s budget.
The council did not take a separate vote on these items but directed staff to solicit quotes for Ledge Road repairs and proceed with the pavement-marking procurement.
