Clarksville school board approves iPads, Chromebooks and McGraw Hill social studies curriculum

Board member Megan Hoodjer moved and Phil Barnett seconded approval of the meeting agenda; the motion carried unanimously. Hoodjer then moved and Barnett seconded approval of vendor quotes for technology: 50 iPads for kindergarten and first grade for $16,450, and 60 Chromebooks for approximately $22,018. The agenda lists the Chromebook price as $22,018.80 while the motion text records $22,018.50; the board approved the Chromebook purchase despite that minor discrepancy.
In a separate motion, Barnett moved and Hoodjer seconded approval of a K–12 social studies curriculum quote from McGraw Hill for $45,828; the motion carried unanimously. No further discussion or public comment on the purchases or curriculum is recorded in the meeting minutes.
The board adjourned at 8:04 a.m. The meeting minutes include signature lines dated August 17, 2026, for the board president and board secretary.
