The Poseyville Town Council voted unanimously on Feb. 25 to hire Joann Bogard as the town's Utility Clerk at a rate of $18.00 per hour, contingent on the town reimbursing her for health and supplemental insurance rather than enrolling her in town-provided benefits.
Utility Manager Billye Robling and Clerk-Treasurer Jodie Rankin asked the council to consider Bogard for the position, saying the recommendation was based on points earned through the interview rubric used by hiring staff. Council President Justin Rutledge recorded the request in the meeting minutes.
Council Member Michael Baehl moved to hire Bogard, and Council Member Randall (Randy) Rankin seconded the motion. The council took a roll-call vote and recorded Justin Rutledge (yes), Michael Baehl (yes) and Randy Rankin (yes); the motion carried.
