The Upper Moreland Environmental Advisory Council discussed procedures for disposing of invasive plant material removed during volunteer work, with the stated objective of keeping that material out of the township yard‑waste supply. The council said it will compile its findings and forward recommendations to township officials for consideration.
Members also agreed to set up an informational table at Farmstead on Tap on Oct. 3, 2026, from 2 to 6 p.m. At the close of the meeting, members listed items to keep on the council’s radar, including Fair Oaks Park plantings, tree plantings at the dog park, park water‑bottle filling stations, tree girdling, the use of Roundup on township properties and increasing the EAC’s visibility on the township website. The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
