The Slinger Redevelopment Authority on March 4 approved a $2,424.67 façade grant for the owner of 103 Scenic Ave to cover repainting, two replacement windows, an exterior porch light and shutters, but excluded the requested repair of a dented garage door. The grant was approved by motion of Redevelopment Authority member Sherry Schaefer, seconded by Corey Foerster, and passed by the members present.
Community Development Director Dyann Benson told the board that the applicant had requested $3,124.67 and that "staff are not recommending approval of this application based on the normal maintenance work being performed." RDA members said the property is highly visible from the downtown and noted that some similar work had been approved previously; members agreed to fund the application at the reduced amount and exclude the garage-door repair.
The motion approved the grant "for Daniel Croft subject to acceptable receipts being provided to Village staff for review," according to the meeting minutes. The minutes record no roll-call tally; the minutes state the motion "passed." The grant award is contingent on the applicant providing documentation of eligible expenses to village staff for review and reimbursement.
The meeting also approved minutes from the authority's Feb. 4, 2026 meeting earlier in the session. The authority adjourned at 8:37 a.m.
