Pickleball court egging reported; board asks staff to follow up on cameras and security

During the July 9 Peru Parks Board meeting the Chair relayed a report that eggs had been thrown onto the pickleball court. Board members discussed whether nearby private cameras (a neighbor identified as Ernie Taylor) might provide footage and agreed to wait for staff (Cliff) to investigate further.
The Chair told the board that Barb Townsend reported someone had thrown eggs on the pickleball court and asked whether the board could do anything to reduce repeat incidents.
Board members said there is currently no facility camera at the court and suggested asking a nearby resident, Ernie Taylor, whether his cameras might have captured the incident. The Chair said he would ask Ernie to check his cameras and that staff (Cliff) should be consulted to determine feasible next steps.
No formal enforcement action or security-installation decision was made; the board agreed to follow up when Cliff or staff can report back.
