Staff reports and infrastructure items: The township engineer updated the board on County Line Road, reporting work is expected to begin the first Monday in August and finish before the end of September. The engineer also described a new hole found on Jacksonville Bridge that will require remedial work; temporary measures (metal plating, lane-width restrictions) and sight-distance checks near a nearby railroad crossing were discussed to preserve emergency and bus access.
Public comment and noise concerns: During general public comment, residents raised truck noise and "Jake brake" retarder concerns on Airport Road and Route 329; staff explained such restrictions on state roads require engineering assessments and PennDOT approval and agreed to take preliminary grade checks and report back at a future meeting.
