Planning Board approves minutes, discusses Master Plan updates and schedules follow-ups

The Temple Planning Board approved the draft minutes from its May 5 meeting during the May 19 session. Randy Martin moved to accept the minutes; Matt Cabana seconded. The roll call vote was recorded as all in favor except Bruce Kullgren Jr. and Ken Caisse, who abstained.
Members reviewed several informational items. Driveway permit submissions for Hill and North Roads were provided for informational purposes and members noted logging had begun on the Barry property. Board members agreed the Planning Board would not staff a booth at this year’s Temple Harvest Festival.
Randy Martin shared source documents for updates to the Master Plan. Christine Robidoux said Temple is included in the SWRPC Safe Streets grant and that SWRPC may have funding to update transportation and crash-history maps and potentially road standards; Chair Russ Huntley said he will follow up with SWRPC. Bruce Kullgren Jr. suggested multiple updates to the Historical Resources chapter, including adding a map of historical sites; board members reviewed other chapters and timelines for future edits.
Under other business Christine noted the state has adopted the 2024 building codes and the board reviewed upcoming webinars and trainings (NHDES drinking-water conference on June 3; NHMA annual conference Oct. 28–29). Ken Caisse said Marsh Antique Automotive Restoration Facility has received ZBA approval and will approach the Planning Board for site-plan review.
Matt Cabana moved to adjourn at 8:16 p.m.; Kent Perry seconded. The motion passed by roll call with all in favor. The board scheduled its next meeting for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Temple Town Hall.
