Temple Select Board approves trustee transfers, permits and tax warrants

The Temple Select Board on May 26 approved several routine administrative and permitting actions, including trustee transfers to fund warrant articles, a shed building permit and yield-tax warrants.
George Willard moved to sign letters authorizing trustees to transfer funds for warrant articles #13, #14, #16 and #18; Clayton Lennartz seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board did not specify amounts for the transfers during the meeting.
Clayton Lennartz moved to approve a building permit for a shed for Connolly; George Willard seconded and the motion passed. Lennartz also moved to approve the yield tax and warrant for Edwards; Ken Caisse seconded and that motion passed unanimously.
On a separate yield-tax item related to property on Hadley Highway, Lennartz moved to approve the warrant for Willard; Caisse seconded and Willard abstained from the vote. The motion passed.
The board approved minutes from its May 12 meeting as amended after a motion by Lennartz and a second from Caisse.
In other actions, the board approved a demolition application for a barn and garage on Kendall Road submitted by Sartell, contingent on health-inspector approval.
During public comment, resident Nick Rowe asked whether he needed a permit for a solar installation on an exterior barn wall. The board discussed the system type and concluded it is passive heat and does not require a permit.
Caisse said he will contact the Department of Environmental Services to confirm requirements for a separate building application for Rowe on Hill Road; that item will remain on the agenda pending DES confirmation.
The board also discussed a flyer circulated in April that contained inconsistencies and drew police attention; members edited a letter to committee chairs asking committees to obtain board approval and to identify senders before distributing flyers.
The board’s motions were routine and primarily procedural; no large funding amounts beyond the unspecified trustee transfers were finalized at the meeting.
