The Town of Norwalk Planning Board reviewed and advanced a sketch plan for a subdivision presented early in the meeting.

The presenter said soils testing had been completed and passed and that the applicant would obtain necessary road-opening permits from the state Department of Transportation prior to final approval (Presenter).
Board members voted to find that the sketch plan met the definition of a subdivision and authorized the applicant to proceed to preliminary plan review. The board also voted to set contour intervals at 24 inches for the plan’s mapping requirements. The applicant was advised to return with the preliminary materials, including DOT responses, at the next meeting; staff indicated the applicant expected to be ready in roughly three weeks (Chair; Presenter).
