Cushing selectmen approve routine warrants, minutes and mower rental; pest control discussed

Selectman Laurie Haynes moved, seconded by Selectman Martha Marchut, to approve Warrants #11 and #12; that motion carried 4-0-0. The board also approved the minutes of the March 9 meeting by the same margin. Earlier in the meeting Haynes moved, seconded by Marchut, to appoint Alton Grover as chairman; the motion carried with Grover recorded as abstaining (3-0-1).
Chair Grover said he had received a call from Howard Fairfield offering a tractor rental at a cost of $2,600 for a week; Selectman Haynes moved, seconded by Marchut, to rent the mower from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4, 2015 for $2,600, and the motion carried 4-0-0.
Grover reported complaints of ants in the Town Office bathroom and presented an estimate of $198 to eradicate crawling insects and rodents; he said he would ask the Town Clerk for clearer information on timing and scope. The board did not take formal action on pest control at the meeting.
Selectman Laurie Haynes moved, seconded by Chair Grover, to adjourn at 7:05 P.M.; the motion carried 4-0-0.
