The Cushing Selectmen voted March 23 to order a new Freightliner plow truck at a quoted price of $81,700 after the board was told the town’s existing plow truck would not pass inspection.
Chair Alton Grover said a vendor reduced the price from $90,000 to $81,700 for the Western Star chassis only; he said the town could seek to sell the old truck or receive a $5,000 trade‑in if a sale is not possible. Selectman Laurie Haynes moved, seconded by Selectman Heidi Alley, to approve ordering the new Freightliner plow truck at $81,700. The motion carried 4-0-0.
The board did not record specifics about delivery timing or whether the price included the plow body or only the chassis.
