Cushing selectmen discuss Salt Pond Road culvert grant, stolen signs and generator service options

Chairman Alton Grover told the Selectmen about a project planning and development session scheduled for June 23 at the EMA office in Rockland where the town may pursue grant funding to repair a culvert on Salt Pond Road.
Grover also reported that eight town signs and three development signs were stolen; the town will order replacements for the development signs and expects reimbursement from the developer, while the town will replace the remaining town-owned signs.
On maintenance, Grover presented a service agreement proposal from Power Products for the community center generator: a one-visit-per-year maintenance plan for $300 or a two-visit-per-year plan for $440. Selectman Martha Marchut said Dan Remian recommended the one-visit option; Grover said he would confirm Remian’s view before moving forward. No formal vote on generator maintenance was recorded.
