The Garrett Park Town Council on March 16 voted unanimously to authorize the mayor to execute a lease with the Garrett Park Swimming Pool Association, Inc. The authorization came after Councilmember Chris Deutsch moved to approve the mayor's execution of the lease and Councilmember Phil Schulp seconded; Mayor Keller called for a vote and the motion passed without discussion.
The council opened the special teleconference at 6:32 p.m. and first approved the meeting agenda on a unanimous vote after Councilmember John Stroud moved to adopt it and Councilmember Gerilee Bennett seconded. Town Manager Barbara B. Matthews and Assistant Town Manager Kayla Buker were present for the meeting.
Mayor Keller noted a "slight modification" to his schedule and announced that Councilmember John Stroud will serve as acting mayor on March 19, 2026; he said all other acting-mayor coverage dates remained as previously agreed on Feb. 23, 2026. The special meeting adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
