Harmony EDA groups Experience Harmony II items, puts jobs and housing awareness top

Members of the Harmony Economic Development Authority spent a significant portion of their Sept. 6 meeting reviewing the Experience Harmony II action list and grouping 20 proposed items into six categories for prioritization.
Andy Batstone urged the board to prioritize marketing opportunities that promote jobs and housing but cautioned that broader marketing efforts should not reduce tourism promotion. The board agreed on the following priority order, highest to lowest: 1) creating awareness of opportunities (jobs & housing), 2) housing, 3) transit, 4) environmental sustainability, 5) lodging/amenities, and 6) technology. Chris Giesen said he would reorganize the project list under those categories for final discussion and approval at the next meeting.
Board members did not take a formal vote to adopt the priorities at this meeting; the reorganization will return for review.
