Zoning map amendment and certified survey map, 105 **** Street: The council approved ordinance 2025-3 to rezone a parcel at 105 **** Street from B-2 to B-3 to allow the owner to split the parcel and sell one building. Approval was conditioned on recording a shared-parking easement and maintaining a shared driveway; the council suspended the rules and waived readings to pass the ordinance and approved a related certified survey map with the same conditions.
Business-retention and expansion program: Council approved a business retention and expansion program brought forward by the Community Development Authority; a council member moved approval "as drafted" and the motion passed.
Memorandum of understanding with Columbus School District: Council approved an MOU allowing the Columbus School District to place a small storage shed near the tennis courts on city property; the council amended the termination notice from 90 days to 30 days. The district is responsible for maintenance and insurance; council suggested ground anchors but left final securing method to the district.
Claims: Council approved payment of claims totaling $446,618.56; the clerk performed a roll-call vote and recorded that the "ayes have it."
Procedure and votes: Multiple items were passed by motion and voice or roll-call votes. For the claims payment the clerk recorded individual 'Aye' responses during roll call but the meeting minutes do not list a full named roll-call tally for each approved ordinance in the transcript; where movers and seconders were recorded those are noted above. The council also created direction on the public safety building solicitation and scheduling (see separate article).
