At its May 26 meeting the Horicon Common Council approved a slate of liquor and fermented malt beverage licenses and granted three beer garden permits, with all motions passing unanimously.
During an initial public hearing, the council approved Class A liquor and fermented malt beverage licenses for Kwik Trip, Inc. (716 E. Lake St.) and Sky Enterprises Group, LLC (306 Washington St.) for the year ending June 30, 2027. The council also approved Class A fermented malt beverage licenses for Kwik Trip (305 Barstow St.) and Dolgencorp, LLC (704 Washington St.), and a Class A liquor — cider-only license for Kwik Trip at 305 Barstow St. Following a separate hearing, the council approved Class B licenses for businesses including Danny Boys Irish Pub (315 E. Lake St.), Horicon Hills Golf Club (3000 Main St.), Horicon Post No. 157 of the American Legion (735 S. Hubbard St.), Rock River Tap (110 W. Lake St.), Arandas Mexican Grill 2 (407 E. Lake St.), Gingers Hideaway (302 E. Lake St.) and Blue Heron Landing (305 Mill St.).
No members of the public appeared during any of the hearings. The council approved beer garden permits for Arandas Mexican Grill 2, Blue Heron Landing and Rock River Tap. The motions to open and close hearings and to grant the licenses and permits were moved and seconded by council members and recorded as unanimous AYE votes.
