The motion, made by Alderperson Frami and seconded by Alderperson Schmitz, passed with all voting AYE. Police Chief Berken told the council the department plans to use the funds to purchase dual-band radios: 10 handheld radios, one base unit, one mobile unit and three radios for squad cars. Berken said the radios are expected to be purchased by June 2027.
