The Avon Town Council took several recorded actions at the Feb. 7 special meeting.
Personnel action: Following an executive session on personnel, the council voted unanimously to approve a 2.50% general wage increase to the Town Manager’s FY 26/27 regular salary, bringing it to $195,306. The motion was made by Mrs. Bratton and seconded by Mrs. Barthel; Mmes. Ausiello, Barthel, Bratton and Messrs. Polhamus and Weber voted in favor.
Procedural motion: On a motion by Ms. Ausiello, seconded by Mr. Weber, the council unanimously agreed to move the agenda item "Opportunity for Public Input" before consideration of potential budget adjustments.
Tax refunds: The council approved real-estate and personal-property tax refunds totaling $29,219.29, including refunds to Mary Bernholtz ($3,084.54), Blackburn & Donnelly, LLC ($4,616.96), Judith S. Buff ($5,066.99), Cotality ($2,133.28), Robert Charles & Mary Lou Lee ($4,277.64), Mahin Morel ($7,744.39), and Orangetheory Fitness ($2,295.49). The motion was made by Mrs. Bratton, seconded by Ms. Ausiello, and passed unanimously.
