Bonduel RDA discusses wayfinding signs, potential member and downtown property updates; several items tabled

During its Feb. 10 meeting the Village of Bonduel Redevelopment Authority discussed several ongoing projects and administrative matters and tabled multiple items for the next meeting.
Municipal Operations Director Jesse Rankin said he will work on proposed locations and a count of wayfinding signs for downtown and present those details at the next meeting. By consensus the RDA tabled forming a project committee until Rankin brings that information back.
Rankin reported he had spoken with Village resident John Springborn about possibly joining the RDA; member Lissy Kastning said she would speak with Springborn's wife to further gauge his interest. The topic was tabled pending follow-up.
The authority also discussed downtown properties, noting the Flowers from the Heart shop is holding a liquidation sale. Rankin said he stopped by the building and spoke with organizers but no definite plans for the space were identified; the item was tabled for future discussion.
Rankin told members about approximately $40,000 remaining in the Downtown Business Grant fund and urged spreading the word to business owners who had not yet returned completed applications. The meeting adjourned at 5:54 p.m.
