The Village of Bonduel Redevelopment Authority on Feb. 10 approved a $5,500 Downtown Business Grant to help Bonduel Auto replace the roof at 249 S. Cecil St.
Municipal Operations Director Jesse Rankin presented the application submitted by Skeeter Beaulieu of Bonduel Auto, saying the submission included a contractor estimate totaling $11,000 and requested approximately $5,550 toward the project. Rankin said the owner plans to begin work in May 2026 with completion expected in June 2026 and that Beaulieu may submit a separate signage grant application later.
The RDA approved the grant on a motion by Lisa Hughes, seconded by Lissy Kastning. The motion carried unanimously.
The vote clears partial funding for the roof project; Rankin also reminded members that roughly $40,000 in Downtown Business Grant funds remain available for other applicants. Several businesses have submitted initial applications but have not yet returned complete paperwork, Rankin said.
The authority handled the vote during its regular meeting; members present recorded the approval and the item will move forward under the RDA's grant program procedures.
