Mister Ollie told the board the district intends to turn a full‑time community education position into two part‑time roles to allow flexibility and broaden programming capacity. “The Crosby Harrington School District is restructuring a full time position into 2 part time positions,” he said, adding that the job description will likely evolve as the district clarifies duties and that onboarding will include mentorship from the current community‑ed director and supervision by the district direct supervisor.
Board members raised operational questions before the vote: whether instructors hosting classes in private homes would be expected to accept site visits, how the district would track hours if the position is split, and whether the community‑ed staff would be expected to be present for large events all day. The administration said site visits would be a check‑in rather than constant supervision, and that an hourly tracking system would help separate program development time from event support.
The board then approved the consent calendar and several action items by voice vote.
