Albion trustees approve 2026–27 budget; Sheehan records lone Nay

Trustee Jami Allport moved to approve the budget and Trustee William Gabalski seconded. The motion carried with Mayor Timothy McMurray, Trustee Jami Allport and Trustee William Gabalski voting Aye; Trustee Kevin Sheehan voted Nay. Deputy Mayor Greg Bennett was recorded as absent.
The minutes record the General Fund appropriations at $4,890,354.20 with estimated revenues of $1,335,756.20, a listed fund balance of $5,900 and a tax levy of $3,548,685.00. The Water Fund appropriations are recorded as $2,927,243.00 (estimated revenues $2,620,500.00; fund balance $306,743.00) and Sewer Fund appropriations as $1,554,518.00 (estimated revenues $1,551,450.00; fund balance $18,000.00).
