On bullying, staff reported seven central‑office investigations in 2025–26; the team found bullying in three of those cases and noted that even when the state's legal definition of bullying was not met, disciplinary actions occurred.
On career and technical education and facilities, staff said a new cosmetology teacher and National Defense Cadet Corps instructor had been hired, and that the meat processing facility and the William C. Moser building are nearing readiness for students; interagency MOUs are in progress. The finance presenter noted that June revenue and some tax collections had not yet been posted, and provided month‑end expenditure percentages (general fund 95.71% expended; federal projects 80.34%; central cafeteria 78.10%; head start 99.64%). The presenter said the Johnson County Commission approved the county budget on June 29 and the district is awaiting state approval.
A representative of Skyline National Bank offered a sponsorship to fully fund a new digital scoreboard and player clock; the bank requested 10–15 years of naming rights and said the vendor would remove the old scoreboard and install the new equipment while the district would assume maintenance responsibilities. "We're looking at this more than a sponsorship," the bank representative said. The board thanked the bank and said staff will work with counsel on any naming‑rights contract language.
Staff described the FRC numbers and the scoreboard offer as positive developments ahead of the school year; the board asked staff to continue negotiating contractual and operational details and to bring any finalized agreements back for board review.
