Trustees agree to write letter supporting Spectrum House application to FHLB Topeka AHP

The Oklahoma County Housing Finance trustees voted July 8 to provide a letter of support for Myra/Unheard Voices of Autism LLC (also referenced in materials as Spectrum House) to strengthen the group's application to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka Affordable Housing Program (AHP).
The Executive Director said staff had spoken with the organization and that the group is focused on developing specialized permanent supportive housing for low-income, high-acuity senior adults with autism in Oklahoma County. "They're not asking for funding. They're not asking for involvement by us," the Executive Director said, noting the request is for a written recommendation to accompany the AHP application.
A trustee moved to support drafting the letter and the motion carried. Staff said they would prepare the letter and circulate a copy to trustees.
The board did not commit funding or program resources; the action was limited to issuing a recommendation letter as requested.
