Council opens single proposal for water treatment operator; staff to review $6,400 short-term bid

At the Aug. 23 meeting the Borough opened and reviewed the single proposal received in response to its request for proposals for a water treatment operator.
Borough Attorney Robert McBriar opened one sealed proposal submitted by Reliable Restoration Logistics LLC (address listed in the packet as 249 Munsonhurst Road) and said Rob Lawler is the contact named on the submission. McBriar said he will review the proposal details with the borough engineer and CFO and prepare a resolution for council consideration if the recommendation is favorable.
Contract terms discussed on the record include a proposed short-term contract effective Sept. 1 through Dec. 31, 2021 for $6,400; additional labor billed at $75 per hour Monday–Friday 7 a.m.–5 p.m., and $115 per hour on weekends and holidays; and materials billed at manufacturer’s list price plus 20 percent.
Councilman Nardini and others asked about the effective date and contract period; McBriar said staff will confirm details with the engineer and CFO before bringing a resolution. No final contract award occurred at the Aug. 23 meeting.
Next steps: Attorney and borough staff will review the single RFP with the engineer and CFO and report back with a recommendation and possible resolution.
