The Borough of Ogdensburg on Aug. 23 adopted Ordinance 09-2021 to amend Chapter 2, Article V of the borough code and establish a Community and Cultural Events Advisory Committee.
Councilwoman Slater moved to adopt the ordinance and Councilman DeMeo seconded. Mayor George P. Hutnick opened the floor to public comment on the ordinance; no members of the public spoke. The council approved the ordinance by roll call: Yeas — Cowdrick, DeMeo, Nardini, Slater; Absent — Alvarez, Nasisi.
The ordinance text (as introduced) supplements the borough code governing boards, committees and commissions to create a standing advisory committee focused on community and cultural events. The council did not record additional debate or amendments on the floor during the Aug. 23 session.
Next steps: The ordinance will be recorded in borough minutes and the new committee formation and membership will be scheduled per borough code procedures.
