The Select Board on July 7 handled a set of routine but consequential administrative votes.
Elections: The board designated Scituate High School gym as the polling place for the state primary on Sept. 1, 2026, with in-person hours 7 a.m.–8 p.m., and approved an early‑voting schedule beginning Aug. 22 and additional dates through late August.
Budget and funds: The board approved advisory‑committee requests to raise FY26 expenditure limits for multiple revolving funds (amounts documented in handouts) to cover costs that cross fiscal years, and approved interdepartmental transfers pursuant to MGL c.44 §33B to close several year‑end gaps. Finance staff said the sewer enterprise deficit had been reduced to about $1,200 pending June interest receipts.
Small allocations and meeting schedule: The board allocated $2,844.60 in transportation network (rideshare) funds to roadway improvements and voted to open the warrant for a special town meeting on Oct. 19, 2026. Finally, the board authorized the town administrator to act as the applicant/authorized representative for Clean Water Trust / CWSRF loans and grants related to the North Scituate Sewer Expansion (CWSRF‑19313) and approved the associated authorizing resolution for filing.
