At its July 7 meeting, the Town of Buckfield Select Board authorized the town manager to determine schedule dates for the request for interest (RFI) for the Old Church on the Hill property so the RFI can be issued promptly.
Staff member reviewed the RFI packet and said it specifies a set of dates that must be determined: distribution date, optional site visit date(s), submittal deadline, evaluation of submittals, a question period and announcement of next steps. The staff member suggested a distribution period of about 60 days to allow interested parties adequate time to view the site and prepare submissions.
A committee member moved that the town manager be authorized to set the six required dates in a manner that best serves both the town and prospective respondents; the motion was seconded and approved. After the vote, staff confirmed they will coordinate with Azalea and with Brad (who prepared the RFI) to finalize site-tour dates and the submittal deadline and to request an invoice so the town can proceed.
Next steps: staff will finalize the RFI schedule, confirm site-tour logistics and publish the RFI per the established timeline.
