At a public hearing the township solicitor explained proposed ordinance 2025-01, which edits zoning districts to remove allowance for accessory apartments in specified zones after staff caught typographical and district errors in earlier drafts. The solicitor said the ordinance had been properly advertised; no public comment was offered and the board voted to adopt the ordinance on a recorded voice vote (Aye, 2-0).
In new business the board approved Resolution 2025-10 appointing Keith Roe to the zoning hearing board and later approved the appointment of Michael Cartwright to the Land Preservation Board. The board also approved revisions to the fee schedule to bring advertising and zoning fees in line with actual costs, noting that current advertising and solicitor charges were higher than the fees previously charged to residents.
The board approved an inspection-fee escrow agreement for a storage building at 140 Cedar Hill Road (developer escrow for public improvements) earlier in the meeting, and staff confirmed those inspection and escrow matters will return for administrative follow-up. Several motions in new business were carried on voice votes recorded as Aye, 2-0.
Next steps: adopted ordinance will be executed per routine practice; staff to publish fee-schedule changes and complete administrative paperwork for appointments and the Cedar Hill Road project.
