Supervisors move to approve AMS road work and payments totaling $296,028.16

The Williams Township Board of Supervisors moved to approve pavement and maintenance work proposed by Asphalt Maintenance Solutions and to authorize payment totaling $296,028.16.

The director of public works reported one bid from AMS for multiple projects. He presented a line-item breakdown for the FB (full base/modified) paving work ($151,646.79 and $73,693.27 on two pages for a combined FB total of $225,340.06) and an oil-and-chip package priced at $70,688.10. He said most of the work would be paid from the state liquid fuels fund, with the remainder taken from the township's road projects general fund (the board noted roughly $360,000 in that line item).

A supervisor moved to approve payment for the projects at a total price of $296,028.16; another supervisor seconded the motion and the board proceeded with the action. The director noted prevailing-wage requirements split some work into separate bid pools and that AMS was the only bidder that attended meetings and submitted a compliant proposal.
