Council approves $15,000 amendment to Chamber of Commerce agreement for July 4 parade security

Parks Director Lina Hicks told the council the amendment would allocate the $15,000 previously authorized by council as follows: $8,500 for barriers lining the parade route, $2,500 to cover overtime for six additional city staff assigned to the event, and $4,000 to the Chamber of Commerce to hire security and event staff. Hicks recommended approval.
Councilmember moved and the council approved the resolution by voice vote. Council did not amend the allocation breakdown.
