"Having considered all of the evidence presented both in writing and on the record ... I'm going to make a motion to affirm the decision of the planning petition granting the fill permit under petition number 2601," the chair said before members voted by voice.
The meeting also included a report on a relaunch of an after-school program run with the PCC center and the mayor's youth council; the chair said the first day drew a strong turnout, "they had over 40 some kids, come through here, interacting with police and fire," and said the authority will propose a fee-schedule amendment to pay for key fobs if it partners with the Humane Society on dog-park access.
On a separate agenda item the authority granted a property-owner request to remove a locust tree in an easement at 7798 Tanager Street, with the homeowners to pay removal costs and to likely plant a replacement. A resident who reported consulting an arborist said the owners "are gonna take it down on their dime." The authority approved the tree removal by voice vote.
The board approved a request tied to Lumen's Logistics to reduce a performance bond to a maintenance bond; staff recommended release of the performance bond once the maintenance bond is in place. The chair moved to approve that conditional release and members agreed by voice vote.
Staff also provided an update on an unsafe-building order for 300 West Old Bridge Road, reporting that the owner has submitted paperwork for a planning-commission hearing on a one-lot subdivision and would remove the house upon approval; the authority set the unsafe-building matter over to the April 15 meeting for further consideration.
Other routine actions approved by voice vote included acceptance of claims, adoption of the meeting agenda, and a refund of building permit number 2657 (noted in the record as WindhamNation). The meeting concluded after a motion to adjourn passed by voice vote.
