The Campton Planning Board on April 1 accepted a frontage adjustment for an existing plan and approved a final site plan for a detached accessory dwelling unit, and it agreed to take a two‑lot subdivision to public hearing on April 8.
The board opened the session at 6:01 p.m. and first took up approval of minutes from March 18; the motion to accept the minutes passed with one abstention from Ted Davis, who reported he had not attended the March 18 meeting.
On a continued item from the March 18 meeting, applicant Richard Gowen presented a revised plan to adjust frontage. The board opened a public hearing at 6:01 p.m.; no members of the public spoke and the hearing was closed at 6:03 p.m. After reviewing the revisions the board determined the frontage changes satisfied Campton requirements and voted to accept the plans as presented.
Mark Vander‑Hayden appeared representing Christian Murray (participating by Zoom) for a final site plan review of a detached ADU. The board, which had reviewed the project at a preliminary hearing on March 4, found no reason to deny the site plan and approved it by motion and unanimous vote.
Kevin French presented a preliminary subdivision plan for Route 175 that would create two buildable lots. The board agreed the proposal was acceptable for public hearing and scheduled that hearing for April 8.
Votes at a glance: the board recorded a minutes‑approval motion (March 18 minutes; outcome: approved; Ted Davis recorded as abstain), a motion to accept Richard Gowen’s revised frontage plan (outcome: approved unanimously) and a motion to approve the ADU final site plan (outcome: approved unanimously). The subdivision review advanced by consensus to a public hearing date.
The board adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
