Interim Town Manager Jack Wozmak recommended that the contractor handling tree removal obtain permission from property owners rather than requiring a notarized owner signature; he said the contractor's liability makes that approach preferable. Nancy Birkrem asked that the signature lines on the form be changed to show the contractor’s representative instead of a town official; she said she would make that edit. Ann Labrie agreed to edit the Right to Inter form to add a date and a witness line.
The trustees discussed RFP logistics and agreed Nancy will make edits to avoid scheduling all contractors at the same walkthrough time. Jack described the mapping plan as preliminary and welcomed trustee input. On enforcement, Cindy Neily reported a complaint about excessive ornamentation in Wells Annex; Jack suggested having maintenance staff report violations to the trustees and recommended asking funeral homes to give families a copy of current regulations. Trustees asked to review the cemetery maintenance job description before it is publicly posted and to participate in interviews for the position.
No final policy changes were adopted at the meeting; the items were left for further revision and review.
