Commission members said the property’s exterior improvements improved the house’s appearance but noted that the newly replaced windows do not have the traditional grid pattern the commission typically reviews and that a front-door sidelight was removed. Mike Roy moved that the commission request that the owners submit an application for review of exterior renovation work completed to date and any other exterior work planned; George Foley seconded. The motion passed unanimously (6).
The motion asks the owner to provide details of window and door replacement and any other exterior changes so the commission can determine whether the work complies with historic-district guidelines and whether any retrofit or mitigation is appropriate.
