Canaan Historic District Commission re-elects officers and updates meeting time and location

The Canaan Historic District Commission on May 18 re-elected its leadership and approved a procedural update to move regular meetings to 7:00 PM and to list 18 Roberts Road in Canaan as the meeting location.
The re-elections installed Tom Milligan as chair, Mike Roy as vice chair and Chris Wolcott as secretary. George Foley was elected clerk, and Wolcott was also designated technical support clerk. Each nomination was moved, seconded and approved unanimously by the six voting members present.
The commission also voted to amend Section 6.2 of its Rules of Procedure to change the stated meeting start time from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and to update the location reference to 18 Roberts Road, Canaan, NH. George Foley moved the procedural change and Mike Roy seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
In personnel business, the commission moved to extend the terms of Tom Milligan and George Foley from expirations in 2026 to 2029. The body noted that Alternate John Bergeron is retiring from his seat but is available for consulting and that an alternate position will be advertised in the town’s weekly email.
The commission conducted routine business without public comment and adjourned at 8:15 PM.
