The Campton Planning Board voted to approve amended minutes from its April 8, 2025 meeting and adjourned at 6:35 p.m. during its May 6 session.
Tim Scanlon moved to approve the April 8 minutes as amended; Stuart Pitts seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The amendments, proposed by Jake Tuck and Stuart Pitts, corrected typographical and wording errors under the "Kevin French" section of the earlier minutes.
During the public-comment portion of the agenda, resident John Waitt—who had mistakenly attended the planning board meeting instead of a later Zoning Board of Adjustment hearing—spoke in support of his neighbor Zach Maynard's variance application to build a garage. Jake Tuck, the planning board's Ex-Officio on the ZBA who visited the site, said he believed the parcel as proposed did not qualify for the variance but noted there were compromises the landowner could pursue to move closer to compliance with Campton's ordinances. The minutes record no formal action on the variance; the ZBA hearing is scheduled for later in the week.
The board also received a copy of a wetland permit from the Department of Environmental Services; the minutes do not record further board discussion or action on that correspondence.
Tim Scanlon moved to adjourn; Stuart Pitts seconded. Jake Tuck called the vote and the meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
